For a long while, nothing has shaken the world, causing global panic other than Corona virus. Its pull is seen as taking the place of world war III, troubling all hooks and corners of earth, causing thousands upon thousands of people asking questions in lamentations on when Covid-19 be over.
This virus having first surfaced in China has spread through Europe, down to Africa, claiming the life of many without mercy, destructing every form of unity the world possess. People ceasing to go to work, avoiding all forms of public gathering, schools shut down, markets, recreation centers, churches, mosques all pose as threat and a medium to contact this deadly virus known as Corona Virus (Covid-19).
Who would believe the social walls of the world could collapse? Will the corona virus be over?
Well, for those who this question has challenged in various ways, the fact remains that the strength Corona virus seem to posses now will all be quenched someday. It can’t last forever, neither can it beat the test of time.
Let’s consider its origin. After dealing with the Chinese for long, distorting their economy and claiming the life of many, today in China, its effects are been controlled. It no longer pose the same level of threat as at few months ago.
It’s been only a couple of months since the virus called SARS-CoV-2, made its first public appearance in a seafood-and-live-animal market in Wuhan, China. Since then, the virus has hopped borders, infected over 82, 500 people and killed 2, 810.
But as with all past outbreaks, this one will eventually come to an end. How the story of Covid-19 would wrap up as explained by experts is that, cases of the disease will start decreasing when enough people develop immunity, either through infection or vaccination.
Another possible scenario is that the virus will continue to circulate and establish itself as a common respiratory virus.
Nonetheless, today we’ve got optimum research and we’ve made enough medical advancement to combat a disease of this magnitude. This is contrary to a similar pandemic which occurred in 1914 when we had little knowledge of medicines and diseases.
We all need to calm and put in our best towards preventive measures against Covid-19. It will be a global struggle, but we will eventually win. Brace up, take no chances, obey stay at home orders, wash or sanitize your hands, avoid touching your face with your hands and practice social distancing. Its a necessary habit for us to win this war.
