Have you been setting goals without achieving them over a period of time?
Do you want to learn how to set and achieve your goals or you aren’t used to setting goals but want to learn how these goals of yours can be achieved or worked out?
Yeah, you can actually set goals and achieve them with a right strategy if you really what to. And I know of course you do want to.
At various point in time, you set different goals… things you often dream of achieving, things you crave for, things you genuinely want to get.
What means do you do you implore in having all that you wish. Of course, you set goals hoping to reach them at some specific time interval.
One problem that has stopped you from reaching your goal, is all because your goal isn’t specific.
Sure, your goal isn’t specific.
In other to achieve a set goal, such goal must first be specific.
I’ll give you a sample.
I could say my goal is to make much more money by the end of January but that isn’t a specific goal. How about me saying, ‘I will make a sum of N1, 314, 000 by 31th of January 2020.
You see the difference.
The later is much more specific.
It helps your mind focus on what exactly you want to have/achieve.
It gives your mind a brief summary of what your goals are.
Sure, your thinking mind is activated.
Once again, don’t just set goal, rather set specific goals. Be specific else, I think you are joking.
So, how then do you achieve these specific goals of yours?
How can it be actualized?
I will answer all these bordering questions of yours with few words.
Your goals need a split. What do I mean by split?
I mean breaking your goals down into smaller bits. This will help you achieve them in due time with the necessary work required.
If you have a yearly goal, ask yourself, what do I need to do each month to achieve my yearly goal?
If you can draft a right answer, then you now know what exactly you need to achieve each month to have your goals actualized.
Don’t stop there…
Find out what exactly you need to do each week to hit those monthly targets.
Don’t stop there…
Also find out what exactly you need to do each day to achieve your weekly target.
On completing this task, you would have successfully mapped out a blue print for achieving your yearly goal.
Then you can get to work being more focus on the specific goal.
The truth is, if you’re not hitting your daily goal, you aren’t hitting your weekly goal. And if you aren’t hitting your weekly goal, you aren’t hitting your monthly goal too.
Your yearly goal becomes almost un-achievable. I know that’s not what you want.
Yes, you might mot hit your daily goal all day long, but for each day you miss out on it, have a make up for them.
Success is no magic, it’s a gradual process.
Here are four rules to guide you in achieving your goals.
- Set It: yes, you must set those goals.
- See It: Every day, have a way of focusing on your goal. See it always. Put it in front of you. It could be printed and pasted on the walls of your office or room. See it always.
Wherever your attention goes, energy flows and result shows.
- Live it: have a feel that you are what you wish. Experience it… you have to see yourself living that life before you ever have that life.
- Share It: share it with people, I mean your goals. It makes you responsible. It makes you hunger for it more, it increases your effort. Let the world hold you accountable.
And guess what?
YOU WILL ACHIEVE THEM ALL.
