A Lagos Federal government High Court, on Wednesday failed to deliver judgment in the N300m important rights observance suit submitted by billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, also called Evans up against the Nigerian Police.
The presiding judge, Rights Abdulaziz Anka, reserved ruling on the suit following statements by the police that the Inspector General of Police was not party to the proceedings.
The Force said that because of the above reason, the court could hardly go ahead with judgment since it has to listen to all parties involved inside the matter.
Against this backdrop, Justice Anka adjourned the case until September five, 2017.
Justice Anka had few weeks ago ordered that
the fundamental privileges enforcement suit filed by Evans against the Nigeria Police would go upon.
The judge had terminated the objections of Emmanuel Eze, the counsel intended for the third and fourth participants, and agreed with counsel to the kidnap kingpin, Olukoya Ogungbeje, that service on the first and second respondents had been properly effected.
