Lagos State Govern-ment has asked property owners on Right of Way alignment of Igbogbo-Bola Ahmed Tinubu- Igbe road in Igbogbo-Bayeku Local Council Development Area, to modify them for road development.

Vanguard collected that the seven km road has turned into a nightmare for residents especially at the time of rainy season, when the only available way of transport will be commercial motorcycle commonly called Okada.
On reason behind prompt development of the road, the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, emphasized that rehabilitating the age long road was going to make improvements to economic activities and minimize pressure on Lagos mainland axis.
The governor during a meeting with occupants yesterday explained that the road development was part of the infrastructure development plans for the state.
He noted that the road, apart from opening up the council to get personal and commercial activities, will enhance general public security through reduction in travel time, vehicle repair and transport cost contributing finally to an over-all better standard of living.
Ambode, who was represented by Commissioned officer for Commerce, Industry and co-operatives, Rotimi Ogunleye, also stated that the road will serve as a link to Ijede, Gberigbe, Imota where the State Government has built a Rice Mill turning out 32milliom metric tons daily on Industrial Park.
Previously, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Olujimi Hotonu, revealed that road is going to be expanded to 4 lanes with addition of seven standard laybys, devoted lanes for bike riders and then 3 pedestrians bridges.
A representative of Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mrs. Afusat Adegun, guaranteed that the ministry is going to start off issuance of notices to owners’ of buildings which will be affected on Right of Way.
