After their streak of beef in 2015, Meek Mill and Drake might one day bury the hatchet, get over their beef as it seems.
A couple of years ago, Meek called out Drake and said he is using ghostwriters. The claim resulted in a lyrical punch between both artists, with endless jabs being thrown. According to Meek in the Hot 97 show, his attack on Drake wasn’t his proudest moment. In the new interview, he confirms that he kind of went too far during his battle with the “Controlla” star.
“I was out of control at that point, the way I was coming at everybody,”
Meek Mill said in Thursday (July 20) interview.
“I offended a lot of people at that point. I think I could have approached things better, but it is what it is.”
When Hot 97 host Ebro Darden asked Meek Mill whether he would one day be able to squash his beef with Drake, Mill phrased his answer by referring to his past time in the streets.
“I’ve seen people that have shot at me before, we got in the club like, ‘Yo you almost killed me that day, it was crazy. You shot 50 shots, you hit the car 20 times.’ It wasn’t always like that for a long time, but you grow up, what you wanna do? I ain’t die.”
Then, the “Issues” rapper said that he would consider having a talk with Drake one day, but on his own terms.
“Yeah, eventually. One day. It’ll come naturally,” he said. “A lot of people tried to force that on me. Like yo, I got myself into this. I like standing up on my feet. I like trials and tribulations. I come from that.”
He adds: “Let it be natural. I’m a natural type of mover. We’ve been in that position before where we were supposed to be on the phone, [or] put in front of each other. Let it be natural. Nobody can fix this but me or him.”
Earlier today (July 21), Meek Mill dropped his 3rd album Wins and Losses. Watch his interview with Hot 97 below:
